A now page is a little glimpse into the things that occupy my time. It's a little bit like a diary, but paired down in my case to an overview of things I am doing or have done. Typically, things in life that would be logged here progress slowly, so don't expect changes every day, but I'll try to update it once a month at least.

Working on...

At work

Your regular patching, maintenance and helpdesk escalations, plus:

• Summer projects - building out ACLs, vlans, upgrading building links, patching network infrastructure
• An unplanned trial deployment of a pretty neat little uptime monitoring tool called Uptime Kuma! I should write a post about it...

Online

Anything with an internet orientation deserves its own little section. This includes things to do with this website, there's always stuff happening on here, even if a lot of it isn't visible

• Still thinking a lot more about the simple web and especially the human web
• Related to the above, contemplating social media. And I don't mean the big corporate cesspools, I'm talking fediverse.

At home

The home, the family, and other AFK things.

• Work on the garden continues!
• A small, local get-away type holiday is happening this month. Pretty much last minute. Looking forward to it!
• Attempting to be more present and less in the phone screen. I'm not really staring at it for that long anyway, but doing so less would be nice

Relaxing by...

Reading

• Pale - [ongoing] I read this at every opportunity. It's fantastic, as all Wildbow serials are, and I'm so glad I saved it so I could read it all once it was finished. The Wandering Inn and Super Supportive will be resumed once Pale is finished
• Lord of the Flies - [ongoing sporadically] classic book, I read it in school and it's the next book on a list of 100 books that must be read. I'm slowly working through it!

Gaming

• World of Warcraft (retail) - [ongoing] Collect-a-holics unite! Mounts, toys, pets and achievements. And I love it. New expansion this month. Can't decide if I'm going to get it or not...
• Pokemon Go - [ongoing] kid loves it and it helps keep him (and us) moving, so why not
• Sonic Origins - [finished-ish] Kid loves sonic and had played Sonic 1 and Sonic CD on the tablet. He completed them though, so we got him this as a surprise. He absolutely smashed it, and has been replaying the games and doing the game gear and other ... crappy versions of the games too.
• Sonic Colors - [ongoing] As mentioned, kid loves sonic. He's completed the big Sonic Origins games in a matter of weeks (despite only playing for an hour here or there during that time) so we got him Sonic Colors. He's finding the controls difficult (first time with thumbsticks) so we're working together to learn it!

Watching

• The Office (US) - [ongoing] should have watched this years ago, why did I wait so long!?
• The Boys (TV Series) - [ongoing] After finishing The Expanse I needed something else to watch, so started watching The Boys. It's pretty good. Currently half way through Season 2, interested to see where it goes and if it can keep the pace up. I was promised interesting powers but I must say, after reading things like Worm and Super Supportive, they're not that creative, but it's still a good show. So far.
• Black Books - [finished] A classic british comedy. Bernard is my spirit animal. We've rewatched this a few times and I expect we'll keep rewatching it in the future.
• Umbrella Academy (s4) - [finished] Season four is almost the opposite of season one. I love season one. What were they thinking?
• Superstore - [random?] This is one of those shows that's often on in the background, and I've only ever seen random episodes here and there. Seemed alright. Just started to watch it from the beginning and it's a lot funnier than I gave it credit for!
